The world has always seen amazing buildings created and built from the Pyramids of Egypt, the Taj Mahal in India to the various cathedrals and churches and modern day high rise offices.
The recent untimely and sad parting of Zaha Hadid (Architect/designer), prompted me to add Workshop 11 this week - Cityscapes and Architecture.
Zaha, despite working in the male dominated 'fraternity' of architects, over the years rose to a high level of appreciation for her architectural and design skills throughout the world. She won many awards for her work not least being made a Dame by our country recently. Her work includes the MAXXI, Bridge Pavilion, Maggie's Centres, Contemporary Arts Center, Serpentine Sackler Gallery, and the Aquatics Centre, the most dramatic of the buildings created for the London 2012 Olympics. (Some examples of her designs here)
In Workshop 11, I'll be talking about Cityscapes and Architecture photography, gear and the work of photographers Irene Kung, Julia Anna Gosporadou and Joel Tjintjelaar. Just a few superb photographers that create beautiful fine art work of buildings.
